FDHS 24-25 SY Welcome Letter
Daily Schedule Monday - Friday
School entry starts at 7:25am and 1st period begins at 7:55am.
Students must use their ID to Swipe in for attendance.
Tardiness begins at 7:55am. After 8:15am, students must come into the school with a parent.
Dismissal starts at 2:52pm. (Wednesdays are no longer early dismissal).
School Supplies: Please ensure that students have the supplies below by the second week of school.
Clear or mesh backpacks/bags only (Mandatory)
Planner (provided by the school)
3 packs of 3x5 inch Index Cards
5– One subject notebooks
2 packs of blue or black pens
Water bottle
2 packs of pencils
1 pack of highlighters
5– Three pronged folders
1 pack of post-it notes
Computer for home (Recommended)
Summer Reading Book (see below)
Grade Level Assigned Books
2– Two inch, 3 ring binders
Students will be able to purchase additional supplies from the front office throughout the school year.

Click on Accelerated Reader - use username and password from teacher
Use your book and bookmark to pass the quiz!
Turn in book/bookmark when you finish!
Scores 6+/10 are PASSING
Scores 14+/20 are PASSING
GOAL: Read 100,000+ words each month to reach a million words read!
Take AR quizzes on EVERY book you read to increase your word count!
Students who receive after school detention will need a ride home.
We collect phones at the start of the day. Confiscated phones are returned after buses depart.
Please encourage your child to follow school procedures and minimize your inconvenience.
Dress Code Expectations
Tops Standard:
Douglass, college or positive cultural message t-shirt or polo.
FDHS field trip shirt (included in supply budget)
No torn/cut shirts or bare midriffs.
Tops Dress Down ONLY on approved days:
Top with school-appropriate logo (clothing that bear logos, insignia, letters or colors signifying a gang, crew, violent actions, drugs, profanity, or weapons will not be tolerated)
All tops (shirts and blouses) must cover the top of the shoulder and completely cover the stomach, chest and back. No bare midriffs.
Bottoms Standard:
Khaki, blue, black or gray pants
School plaid pants
No torn/cut pants
No athletic warmups, yoga pants, jeans, leggings or sweatpants
Bottoms Dress Down ONLY on approved days
Jeans (not torn)

Headwear and Accessories
No hats, hoods, head or ear covers, head rags, or scarves aside from those worn for religious purposes
Clothing, jewelry and personal items shall be free of writing or pictures that are crude, gang-related, vulgar, profane or sexually suggestive, bear drug, alcohol or tobacco company advertising/promotions or advocate racial, ethnic or religious prejudice.
Shoes
Closed toe shoes must always be worn; no inappropriate footwear or roller blades. No crocs, sandals, slippers, or slides.
